Description

Swiss Chard is also known as Silver Beet or Seakale Beet. Swiss chard is a very easy to grow and a great source of vitamins. The leaves and stems can be used individually or combined. They make a very tasty cooked vegetable. It is quite tolerant of intense heat and mild cold weather.

Seed pack contains 100 seeds

Sowing & Spacing:

Sow outside from April until June. Indoors: Sow each seed into an individual module (approx 2cm deep) and plant out after about 4 or 5 weeks. You can also sow directly into the garden. Thin the seedlings to leave just one per station, as many grow from the one seed which is actually a tight cluster of seeds.

Space plants 30cm (11.8in) apart, with 45cm (17.7in) spacing between rows.
