Description
A striking German heritage variety that is commonly bred for sauerkraut production, Filderkraut is a pointed white cabbage that can grow very large (7/8 kilos). It has soft green leaves and is a coreless variety.
Filderkraut has a sweeter and less sulphury taste than other cabbage varieties, and is ideal for coleslaws, sauerkraut or even eating raw. It's fairly easy to grow and reliable, with a long growing season and an autumn harvest.
