Description
Folding Garden & Multipurpose Knife
Opinel knives are traditional French knives made in France since 1890. Originally produced as picnic knives, they are as quintessentially French as the bread and cheese they were designed to cut. They were ranked as one of the '100 most beautiful products in the world' by the Victoria and Albert Museum.
The Opinel knife No.8 consists of a carbon steel blade, a beech wood handle, a securing rivet and a unique locking collar to prevent the knife from accidentally opening and closing. They are a simple, reliable and practical country person's knife.
"I like the famous ‘Opinel’ brand and find their folding knives excellent. A small knife is often
needed in the garden for cutting string, sticks and flowers, trimming leeks, cabbages and
tomato plants, deadheading and many other jobs. It’s a good habit to carry one in your
pocket, you’ll be surprised how often you use it." - Charles Dowding
