The Quickcrop mini tunnel kit is a DIY kit for building a sturdy and long lasting mini polytunnel for plant and raised bed protection. Mini polytunnels can be fixed to raised beds to create a compact growhouse, fixed to the ground with our peg system or used inside a full sized tunnel to create a heat retaining double glazing effect.
Our kits use pressure treated timber for the frame and thick plastic tubing to create the structure. The clever bit is our unique fixing system for attaching the frame together, securing the tubular supports and fixing the poly or mesh to the frame.
You can easily build a tunnel in 30 mins which will last you for many years.

Hinges can be bought on the site for these units however they are a seperate purchase as only about half the people buying this product are actually putting them on to raised beds. Just put the word Hinge in the search bar and they will come up. The mini polytunnels are now being supplied with metal corner brackets which fit underneath the base in the corners and means the polytunnel is no longer held together only by the plastic tube supports

The piping is 1.2m long so in order to get enough height in the centre i would keep the mini polytunnel no wide that 4ft.

Absolutely. All you need to do is cut 2 of the 4ft side pieces of wood to 3ft. Easily done

For the 6ft x 3ft tunnel it is normally 2.5ft in the centre.

Yes the full kit is available on the website with the mesh cover. If you put the words Mini Poly in the search bar all of the options will come up

Unless it is cut with a sharp implement it won't rip with the wind. If you clean the cover each year during the winter it will comfortably last 10/15 years but after that it will need to be replaced. As far as i am aware it can't be recycled

I am afraid at the moment we are just to busy to do specials. However you can just put an 8ft x 4ft directly on to your bed leaving the last 1 foot for growing salads, herbs etc outside

My word there is a lot there. You would be best to order the complete 6ft x 3ft kit and cut the wood to size on site. If you hinge the polytunnel to the back of the bed it is easy to lift up when accessing. The kit can be bought with the correct sized poly to fit this unit.

The product you are looking at does not include the raised bed just the mini polytunnel, tubling, cover and the frame for the mini polytunnel where the wood is indeed 5cm. The bed is an extra and is just in the photo to show how it goes on to the bed
