The Felco 4 is a quality bypass secateurs and is the most basic pruner of the felco range but is exactly the same as the more expensive ones where it matters. I bought my Felco 4 over 15 yrs ago and unless I lose it I know I'll never buy another. It's bullet proof and great to use, a real design classic. It'll probably last longer than you.
FELCO cutting blades are hollow ground to help cutting and are not riveted, which means like all other parts, they are easily replaced. These secateurs have a safety lock built in to prevent them from opening and accidentally cutting someone. It also has a sap groove to prevent the blades from sticking together when cutting sappy wood and a wire cutting notch to allow it to cut small wires and garden wire.
Many of the original FELCO’s made over 30 years ago are still giving faithful service and still cutting.
Yes they're expensive but well worth it.
