Traditional Style Fruit Press
The spindle fruit press is small but perfectly formed, this traditional press is made from the highest quality materials and should last a lifetime. With a base plate, spindle nut and legs made from robust cast iron and a sustainable oak pressing cage, this sturdy little press can make about 7 litres of juice an hour. Any of our crushers can be used with this press – they can be fitted over the 27.5 litre bucket. The press can hold up to 8½ kg (18 lbs) of crushed fruit, and produces up to 3.5 litres (6 pints) of juice from each pressing. You can press apples and pears and any soft seeded fruit like grapes, raspberries, strawberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants and more.
Using The Press
Simple to use, just fill the cage with crushed fruit, assemble the semi-circular timber pressing plates and large iron nut on top of the crushed fruit and use the iron bar to screw down. Juice flows out of the press cage into the base plate for collection.
