Description
Often known as the 'Pot Marigold' - a reference to its use in cooking. The edible petals can be used fresh in salads or dried and used to colour rice and other dishes. Often used in middle eastern traditional dishes.
Sowing & Spacing:
Sow indoors in trays for best results from Feb to May at 15 degrees C. Germination can take 12-21 days. Pinch out the growing tip after 2 sets of leaves have formed to encourage a bushy habit. Plant out 30 cm apart after any risk of frost has passed.
