The Kent & Stowe pointed spade is made from stainless steel and FSC-certified ash wood. The pointed tip allows for easy entry into harder soils. It's suitable for use with stony soils and for digging, cultivating or moving loose materials.
An extended shank provides extra strength while smoothed rivets add comfort for the user. The stainless steel has excellent rust resistance and minimum soil adhesion.

Keep a straight back at all times when using.
Push down into the soil using the foot plate.
Maintenance:
Always store tool away after use - to avoid moisture from wet grass and dew.
Never put tool away when wet - to prevent rusting and handle rot.
Apply a light coating of boiled linseed oil to help prevent the wood from drying out and cracking.
Thoroughly clean any tools which have been used for chemical applications. Fertilisers and other chemicals will rapidly corrode any metal.
