Vegtrug Raised Herb Planter

In a nutshell....

A Raised herb planter from vegtrug easy access raised vegetable trough planters. The herb planter has dividers to keep various herbs separate.

Raised Herb Planter

The raised herb planter from Vegtrug raised garden beds has 8 sections for growing herbs, each neatly divided. It also has a very useful storage shelf on the bottom for keeping gardening equipment. The shelf is made from slatted timber for better drainage. All the timber used is food safe, no harmful chemicals are used during treatment. Like other Vegtrug planters, the raised herb garden has a comfortable working height and can be placed anywhere in the garden, patio, balcony, polytunnel, or greenhouse.

The feet of the raised herb planter have protective covers to prevent the timber from soaking up liquid and potentially splitting. A pre-formed liner and herb divider is included. The height of the planter keeps your produce away from slugs and snails and animals.

The Vegtrug raised herb planter is easy to assemble and comes in a neat flat pack kit with full assembly instructions.

What compost is best for growing herbs in this? Peat or non-Peat, with or without grit? I'm a novice - not a clue!
Answered by Niall
on June 10th, 2020
Hi Nick Peat compost is fine but it would need to have some feed added the more nutrients the better tasting herbs you will get. I wouldn't worry to much about grit if you are using a peat compost as it will let the water through nicely Niall Quickcrop

Just wondering do you have a cover for the herb planter as I was thinking of growing chillies and peppers in it but they need to be covered.

Hi Adele I am afraid Vegtrug don't do a cover for this product however they do do covers for a lot of their other small planters Niall Quickcrop

what compost would you recommend for use with the herb planter?
Answered by Niall

HI Siobhan Herbs don't need a lot of feed in the mix to thrive so a general compost mix will work fine. They are not as hungry a crop as general veg. Niall Quickcrop

Is the planter suitable to be outside all year round, and do you sell suitable fertiliser
Answered by Andrew

Hi Hugh. Yes, the planter is designed for year round outdoor use. We can also provide compost and fertilizer to suit. I would recommend our 'Seafeed' slow release organic poultry manure and seaweed pellet. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. Andrew

How deep is the growing area on this planter? Thank you.

Hi Sarah. The growing area on the herb planter is 20 cm deep.
Asked By Garry McMahon
on February 18th, 2016
What are the dimensions (LxWxD) of the individual compartments?
Answered by Andrew
on February 18th, 2016
Each compartment is 18cm x 28cm, the depth is 20cm. I would suggest it will be more suitable for soft herbs like parsley, coriander, basil, sorrel, chives etc... but not so good for woody herbs like sage and rosemary as they will be a bit cramped. Thyme would be fine, as would oregano as they are quite compact.

Quickcrop Returns Policy

Great customer service is what we are all about. You will never have to worry about damages, the item not being as expected or simply deciding you don’t want the item and you wish to return it. If you've changed your mind about your purchase, please return it in its original condition with proof of purchase within 35 days of receiving your order and we'll exchange or refund it. If you're only returning some of the items on your order, then we will only refund the cost of those items. We do not cover the cost of returning the item to our warehouse.

Please note that the goods must be returned in the same condition that they left us in so if you have opened your parcel you must ensure it is well enough packed to arrive undamaged.

Damaged Goods Returns
If the parcel is visibly damaged upon delivery, Do Not Sign for the Order. After that just email us on support@quickcrop.com and we will do the rest. Obviously it is not always possible to spot a damage in that moment of delivery so don’t worry. As soon as you open your parcel if the goods are not as they should be just email us a photo of the issue clearly explaining the problem. We will be back to you within the day with a solution. This is normally to arrange a collection at a time that suits you and arrange for a replacement to be sent out. We have very few damages so we act very quickly. Please note the photo is important so we can show the damage to our couriers and be refunded for the delivery cost.

A Simple Return
So you have decided on receipt of the goods that you simply don’t want them. Just email us at support@quickcrop.com explaining that you want to return your goods stating your name and your order number. It is your responsibility to return the goods to us but once they have been received and checked at our end we will issue the refund minus the original delivery charge.
