Gro Grid Planting Mat 'D' For Onions

Product look very good and cant wait to use it. Very reasonably priced as well.

I bought two large sheets of earlier this year in conjunction with 10 sacks of Envirogrind as my soil is pretty poor. In the last few years I have been pleased to get a couple of dozen onions. This year I have Well ove a hundred and three or four times as many shallots and the size is amazing with onions approaching the size of my clenched fist! Taking up about a quarter of my plot I never had to weed once - now that's amazing.... I'll be investing in a couple of additional sheets in the spring too - I just want it everywhere!

I used grid mat A last year on my allotment and I was overjoyed when everyone else was weeding I was enjoying a glass of wine in the sunshine. Took them up after cropping and not a weed in sight. I’m now buying every mat to use this year. Frays slightly at the edges but very impressive. I’ve been recommending them to my allotment buddies.

Laying down the mat was simple, had to use extra fixings due to the high winds. Only time will tell if it's up to the job.

Brilliant for saving labour time on weeding is the main thing and the reason we bought it. My wife will be buying more of it for growing carrots in the very near future. Sorting home saved carrot seed today.

Have not used it yet but it seems like a great idea for outdoor gardens especially for weed control.

I used the Grow Grid D last year for onions and had a superb crop. I used the same one for overwintered garlic which is now flourishing very well. I am so pleased that I have bought several more of this type for this years onions and I intend to try with cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower this year too. Really helps when you have a busy work and home life and still want to keep your garden in ship-shape condition and get wonderfully healthy plants.
