Description
Common Fennel or Foeniculum Vulgare is grown for its feathery fronds. The ferny foliage looks beautiful in the garden and has many uses in the kitchen! It has an anise flavour. Delicious in salads, salsas, pestos, stocks and curries. Fennel works well with fish dishes. A great addition to your herb garden. This is a perennial plant. Be aware that this plant will grow up to 1.5m high and is fabulous in the Autumn in the garden

Sowing & Spacing:
Sow seed thinly in pre-watered shallow rows, and cover with a little soil. Allow about 20cm (8in) between rows. Thin seedlings to 30cm (12in) apart with 20cm between rows. Keep soil moist until seedlings are established.
