Kerbside Delivery Information
Delivery is Kerbside delivery. We don't guarantee the bag can be left within the boundary of your property. If we can't access your driveway the bag will be left at the closest point possible.
The soil is delivered in cubic metre bags placed on a wooden pallet. The soil can only go as close to your site as the hand operated pallet truck allows. The truck is not equipped with a grab so bags cannot be lifted over walls or hedges.
While the delivery driver will do his best to get the bag as close as he can to your property he is unable to move the bag over kerbs, up an incline or on loose gravel surfaces. Remember the bag is a tonne weight and once off the truck is moved by the effort of the driver alone. We use large trucks for these deliveries so if your lane or road is narrow please don't order as refusal of delivery comes at a cost
If you refuse delivery there is a charge of £55 to cover some of the cost of transport out and back.
If you are unsure about access to your property please call us beforehand to discuss.

5 Vegetable soil/compost mix
I had to wait for the results before writing a review! Suffice it to say,I'm simply delighted with the germination rate of all seeds, and the progress of transplanted crops. It was on the advice of Dr.Cara Daly that I ordered the compost,so hats off to her!

5 Vegetable Soil
Great looking soil with a nice dark colour. Delivery driver was extremely helpful and delivered it through to the back of property which saved a lot of walking with the wheelbarrow. Will definitely be buying more of this to fill the raised beds.

4 Bulk Bag of Vegetable Soil Mix England and Wales delivery
The first bag of vegetable soil I received recently was coarse containing many stones some the size of small potatoes. The two bags of soil received today were so much better looking more like the photograph and there seems to be more of it. Now being able to compare my two orders I am not happy wth the quality of the first delivery of soil.

The Veg soil mix is perfect for filling these beds. It has sufficient nutrients in it but not to much that will effect flowers producing. So you will get a great crop of flowers when using that mix

Our soil mix doesn't have any chemical pest control or plant feed added to it so it is a natural product. It is not certified organic however because it is not possible for us to certify that the topsoil component was never used in commercial agriculture. This will be the same for any topsoil unless it came from an organic farm or a virgin site which would be next to near impossible. See full answer »

If they are 14 inches high then you will need 297 litres of soil for the 3 x 3 units and 594 for the 6 x 3 unit. So a total of 2,397 litres to fill them all. This to 3 of the large tonne bags

Yes. It might be a bit rich for young shrubs but established plants will thrive with this mix

I am afraid the smallest we do is the tonne bag which is roughly 750 litres. The excess may sound like a lot to find a home for but it is actually only 3 large wheelbarrows full

There is no such thing as certified organic bulk veg mix as the soil that is mixed in can not be certified so in short no. The sticks and small stones tend to make their way to the top of the bags when in transit but it is important not to have to fine of a mix or it will cake in the beds and not allow air through
