Hi, as this is made by a German company, (I think), does it come with a 2 pin EU or a 3 pin UK/IRL plug? Thanks!

Hi CP
I have just checked one of the boxes and they have done a very clever thing. The plug is adaptable to be UK/Irl as the primary plug but can be an EU plug as well.
You are right they are made in Germany

Hi there. Its not clear to me how to water plants, seedlings and seed trays once they're placed in the propagator. This is not covered in any of the manuals. 1. Is it safe to water plants that are resting directly on the silver heat mat? The instructi...

...on manual advises to "never spill fluids on the appliance" (Pg 9 - Heating mat manual).
2. Manual also says the mat should be covered with a plastic sheet (pg 10). Is this essential? It wasn't in product photos on your website.
3. Website also says mat should be covered with a thin layer of sand? Does this mean the heating pad is put in sand in the canvas base tray, then the racks are put an inch above and the plants do not come into contact with the sand? The manual is very confusing on this subject.
4. What happens to surplus water if it falls through the rack into the canvas base tray? Its unclear how to drain the water in this event.

Does this have to be placed inside the house, a greenhouse or polytunnel or can it be used outside on a terrace?

Hi Sandra
You can put it outside as the mat is able to handle water however it will have to work a lot harder to get to the temperatures you want if outside. As a result it will use a lot more power to do so
