This traditionally styled digging spade has an extended shank for improved strength. Made from stainless steel and ash wood, the spade is ideal for breaking up soil, improving drainage and edging garden beds. The spade has a large tread edge and smoothed rivets for added comfort. It should leverage soil with minimal effort.

Tips:
Keep a straight back at all times when using digging spade.
Push down into the soil using the foot plate.
Ideal for use in large soil areas.
Maintenance:
Always store tool away after use - to avoid moisture from wet grass and dew.
Never put tool away when wet - to prevent rusting and handle rot.
Apply a light coating of boiled linseed oil to help prevent the wood from drying out and cracking.
Thoroughly clean any tools which have been used for chemical applications. Fertilisers and other chemicals will rapidly corrode any metal.
