1.8m Vegtrug polycover with frame

In a nutshell....

Polycover with frame for growing warmer clmate crops and for excellent pest and weather protection. Made to fit the 1.8 metre vegtrug raised planter.

This product is currently out of stock

We have been asked about covers for the vegtrug for some time now and are now delighted to be able to offer them. They are custom made from high quality materials and enable you to get so much more from your vegtrug. The frame screws tightly onto the planter ensuring you don't find it in the hedge after a windy night!

You can now grow warm climate crops like chillis, bush tomatoes and dwarf french beans under the protection on this tough poly cover.

The frame also comes with a choice of great value replacement covers including a mesh insect barrier and a fleece frost protector.

Measures: 71 x 180 x 60 cm

I have had a cover for my trug for a year and it still seems o.k. and did help me grow more especially with the bad summer. I had to fix a small tear after a winter gale but reckon I'll get at least another year so satisfied with performance for the money. Good value.

Bought the cover to see if I could improve my cherry tomato crop from last year. Easy to assemble and quick to arrive. Seems decent enough quality.

Could be improved with tie down eyelets.

My Vegtrug measures 1.17m long x 0.750m wide. Would your Polycover & Frame work for that size ?
Answered by Niall
on March 18th, 2019
Hi Donal If it is a Vegtrug branded unit then it should measure 1m long not 1.17m. It sounds like you might have another brand in which case i don't think this cover will work for you. Niall Quickcrop

Hi, I have an’early’ veg trug, which is 2 m long. It needs a new frame and cover, where can I get one?
Answered by Niall
on May 11th, 2018
Hi Jane I am afraid Vegtrug haven't done these units for almost 4 years and it is next near impossible to get the 2m cover and frames. We were one of the last companies with stock of them and that was about 2 years ago. That said a lot of people in your situation just use the 1.8m one and grow salads in the space outside the frame and cover at the end of the Trug. They are the same width as the one you have. I purchased a Vegtrug from yourselves some years ago and last year I bought the polycover and frame. However this year cracks have appeared on three of the plastic rod holders leaving the rods lob sided. The cracks were a result of wind pressure on the polycover. Do you sell the plastic rod holders separately and,if not, do you sell the frame without the cover ?

Hello, unfortunately we do not sell the frame or any of it's components separately. Sorry about that.

Can I use this frame and polycover on my Vegitable? The length is correct and I'm thinking I can just grow less fussy plants, skinny plants like carrots, scallions and leeks in (what I think) is the uncovered 5.5 inches along the Vegitable length. A plan? (By the way, I LOVE my Vegitable and will probably be ordering another.)

Hello, the cover and frame will be slightly too long for the vegitable but the frame's rods can be cut before assembly to make it fit the table. Hope this helps.

Quickcrop Returns Policy

Great customer service is what we are all about. You will never have to worry about damages, the item not being as expected or simply deciding you don’t want the item and you wish to return it. If you've changed your mind about your purchase, please return it in its original condition with proof of purchase within 35 days of receiving your order and we'll exchange or refund it. We will also refund the standard delivery charge, provided you return the full order. If you're only returning some of the items on your order, then we will only refund the cost of those items. We do not cover the cost of returning the item to our warehouse.

Please note that the goods must be returned in the same condition that they left us in so if you have opened your parcel you must ensure it is well enough packed to arrive undamaged.

Damaged Goods Returns
If the parcel is visibly damaged upon delivery, Do Not Sign for the Order. After that just email us on quickcrop@gmail.com and we will do the rest. Obviously it is not always possible to spot a damage in that moment of delivery so don’t worry. As soon as you open your parcel if the goods are not as they should be just email us a photo of the issue clearly explaining the problem. We will be back to you within the day with a solution. This is normally to arrange a collection at a time that suits you and arrange for a replacement to be sent out. We have very few damages so we act very quickly. Please note the photo is important so we can show the damage to our couriers and be refunded for the delivery cost.
