Grow Spicy Red Shallots

Distribution starts the 3rd week in January

In our opinion Shallot 'Red Sun' is the best of the red shallots. Why? It produces very good yields of crisp,white fleshed bulbs and stores exceptionally well. Flavour is excellent with a distinctive spicy taste.

We recommend unpacking your onion sets on receipt and spread out in a cool, light place until planting time.

Planting:

Mid March to late April

Spacing:

Between rows: 30cm
Between plants in the row: 25cm

Seed count: Approx 20 sets.

Position: Full Sun
