They are a mid to late maturing variety that are great for cooking with or using as an addition to any salad. These are one of the best red onion varieties to grow as their great taste makes them so versatile. Perfect for planting in the autumn or for overwintering. Please note that we do not start sending out our Autumn Onion varieties unitl the soil temperatures have dropped in late September.

Plant in Autumn right up to late Winter in full sun and well drained soil.

Never received the product. I called before ordering online and asked if everything was in-stock. I was assured that they whatever is displayed on website is available. My onion never came to me and it was ordered on 16 Aug so almost 3 weeks ago.

I didn’t get these onion sets in the ground yet. Is it too late to sow them? Can I keep them until next sept?

Hi Liz. If you put them in the ground now you will be ready to pick them in late May / early June of next year. The advantage to putting them in now is that Onions put in now are a lot less likely to bolt in the Spring growing period and they will be ready roughly 1 month earlier.

Hi Ellen. I am afraid not. We can't get access to any Organic Onion sets however i can tell you that even though the seed is not organic the sets have no been sprayed.

after growing onions how long do they have to dry for before using them

Hi Gary. It depends on the weather but you are only drying the onions for storage. If you wish to use them in the kitchen you can do so straight away. If drying for storage cure for 2-4 weeks until the skins are tight and dry and the stems contain no moisture.

Important Delivery Information October 2020 - Covid 19

We will be operating our business as usual over the coming months as thankfully, current lockdown measures haven't required us to close our warehouses. Delivery times had been impacted earlier in the year with the increase in online shopping putting immense strain on couriers. We are nearly back to normal here in Quickcrop so we expect to have your order to you within 2-5 working days, and 7-10 working days for Raised Bed orders.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience which may have been caused due to Covid-19 and very much appreciate your patience during this time. Some of our customers had delays in receiving their orders in a timely manner but thankfully 99% of orders got through on schedule.

Unless 10 working days have elapsed since you placed your order please try to avoid contacting the office for delivery information as answering queries further slows packing. The Exception to this is our raised ponds which will take two weeks to be dispatched from our warehouse and and delivered to you. Of course if you have received a damaged item, are missing something or are over the 10 day lead time please feel free to email us at and we will respond quickly, usually within the hour.


Flat shipping rate of £5.95

All our UK deliveries are only £5.95 no matter how many products we deliver anywhere in mainland UK. We also deliver to other European countries, please see our rates below.

Our delivery fee is an absolute bargain and is far cheaper than any of our competitors, please take this into account when comparing product prices.

We deliver nationwide to the UK, the island of Ireland, Austria, Benelux Countries, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland. Please see our delivery rates below:

£5.95 - The United Kingdom and Island of Ireland (Highlands and Islands may incur a surcharge, please contact us on 0044 1788 298 795 for details)

£9.95 - Austria, Belguim, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark, France, Germany, Switzerland.


How long does delivery take?
Stock permitting we aim to dispatch your goods within 2 - 3 working days of receiving your order. The average time taken from order to delivery is 4 - 5 days in the UK and Ireland, and up to 6 working days for France, Germany and the Benelux countries.

Can I track the parcel myself?
When the order has been dispatched we will provide you with a tracking number for your shipment, you will be able to log on to the Parcel Force website and see where your parcel is at any time. You can also call the office on 01788 298 795 or email if you need more information.

What If I'm not in at time of delivery?
The driver will leave a note with the depot contact number. Delivery can be arranged for the next day or a later date. The driver will not leave the parcel without a signature however they can leave your parcel with a neighbour if instructed to do so in our notes section at the checkout stage on the website. Alternatively if you are not home after Parcelforce/GLS have attempted delivery on 2 consecutive days they will leave a note to let you know that your parcel has been left at your local Post Office for collection.

I'm ordering several items, do they all arrive at the same time?
All items dispatched at the same time will normally be delivered in one delivery. The exceptions are bulk bags of soil or compost which comes in a separate delivery using a different delivery company.

What if my parcel is damaged or I wish to return the goods I have ordered?
Contact our office on 01788 298 795 and we will arrange collection and refund or replacement of faulty or damaged goods free of charge. We have a 'no quibble' policy on damages and will replace immediately once we receive an emailed photo of the damaged item.

If you wish to return an undamaged item for any reason we do charge a collection fee which may vary depending on the number of parcels, each case is different so please call us to arrange. Quickcrop Returns Policy

Great customer service is what we are all about. You will never have to worry about damages, the item not being as expected or simply deciding you don’t want the item and you wish to return it. If you've changed your mind about your purchase, please return it in its original condition with proof of purchase within 35 days of receiving your order and we'll exchange or refund it. We will also refund the standard delivery charge, provided you return the full order. If you're only returning some of the items on your order, then we will only refund the cost of those items. We do not cover the cost of returning the item to our warehouse.

Please note that the goods must be returned in the same condition that they left us in so if you have opened your parcel you must ensure it is well enough packed to arrive undamaged.

Damaged Goods Returns
If the parcel is visibly damaged upon delivery, Do Not Sign for the Order. After that just email us on and we will do the rest. Obviously it is not always possible to spot a damage in that moment of delivery so don’t worry. As soon as you open your parcel if the goods are not as they should be just email us a photo of the issue clearly explaining the problem. We will be back to you within the day with a solution. This is normally to arrange a collection at a time that suits you and arrange for a replacement to be sent out. We have very few damages so we act very quickly. Please note the photo is important so we can show the damage to our couriers and be refunded for the delivery cost.

A Simple Return
So you have decided on receipt of the goods that you simply don’t want them. Just email us at explaining that you want to return your goods stating your name and your order number. It is your responsibility to return the goods to us but once they have been received and checked at our end we will issue the refund minus the original delivery charge.

European Returns
Customers outside of the UK and Ireland are covered by the damages Returns policy above. If you want to return your goods due to the fact that you no longer want it you simply email us on and let us know. You will then need to return your goods to the following address and once it arrives back to us in the condition it left us we will refund you the cost minus the original delivery charge.
