Bare Root Fruit Plants

Gooseberry 'Invicta' is our favourite variety because of its good resistance to mildew and very high yields (up to twice other varieties). The fruit is smooth, tart and tasty and holds together well when cooked making perfect pies and preserves.

Harvest from late May onwards.

Health Benefits:

Gooseberries are a very high source of dietary fibre and  Vitamin C. The berries also contain various levels of Vitamin B6, Calcium, Iron and potassium (good for blood pressure). They are Antioxidant rich and both help to lower cholesterol and improve gastrointestinal health.

Hi Edith, The best time to plant gooseberries is in late autumn. Container-grown gooseberries can be planted at any time, although autumn is still best.
