Do you make bespoke beds? I am looking for something about 2.5 foot high and six foot long and 2.5 foot deep for flowers as we have a dog and he has the ground level planting destroyed. Also if you do what would the lead in time be? And would you deliver? Thanks. Mags.

Hi , I am considering putting raised beds on my patio to grow herbs and salad crops and perhaps other options in the winter . I want the beds to fit into a social aspect of the patio . The questions i have are as follows : The patio is indian sandstone and i wonder how i can put beds on this patio without ruining the stone ? 2) If you consider that it will be ok to put raised beds in my patio iThink I would like the premium range with a bespoke design , Do you offer advice on design along with effective planting. Perhaps if i could send on the dimensions and a photograph ? 3) Finally awkward question i wonder if planting herbs and edible crops so close to the house would attract rodents to visit this area ? . I received my 21 inch high raised beds last night. Put them together no problem. Excellent product. Can you tell me if I should line the bed and if so with what. I have ordered a ton of top soil. Should I mix some compost with that.

Hi Paula No need to line the beds as the boards are already treated and lining them only gives a home to slugs between the boards and the liner and it really doesn't add to the longevity of the beds. Also leaving the base open to the soil below helps encourage worms up which you need. If it is just raw topsoil you have ordered then you should mix in about one third compost with it to give enough nutrients for growing veg. Regards Niall Quickcrop

I am a beginning gardener, and I would like to grow tomatoes, string beans, lettuces, herbs and experiment with other vegetables. I want a 6' by 3' raised bed, but I don't know what height I should get. How do I make this decision?

Hi Ellen. Will the bed be placed on soil or on a hard surface? If on a hard surface you need a minimum of a 14 inch high bed. If on good soil it can be lower so it then depends on what height you want it at for comfort. Our most popular size is 14 inched high. I am afraid not Lidi however the screws and instructions are provided and with an electric screw gun assembly is normally 15/20 minutes so not particularly difficult.

I'm interested in the 6x4 raised vegetable box and will need to fill with compost. How much compost would I need in litres. I'm also new to vegetable growing and will grow to start carrots, onions, broccoli ....can you recommend the compost / fertiliser?

H Nuala, I would need the know the the height of the bed. Our most popular bed is the 14 inch high 6x4 and it needs 850 litres of soil to fill it or one of our large bulk bags. I would use our soil compost mix and amend with seafeed fertilizer for hungry crops like broccoli and onions but not for light feeders like carrots. I hope this helps. Andrew

Standard Quickcrop deliveries only £4.95.

Standard delivery £4.95 - Our standard delivery rate is £4.95 and covers all goods except raised beds and some selected heavy items. £4.95 is the total delivery price irrespective of the number of items ordered.

Raised Beds Allotment/Premier/Deluxe raised beds £9.95 - Raised beds carry a delivery of £9.95 per complete order. £9.95 is the total delivery price irrespective of the number of raised beds or additional items ordered.

Bulky Items £9.95 - Some large items (e.g. compost bins) carry a delivery charge of £9.95. Any items that carry the large item surcharge will be clearly marked on the product page.

Will there be any extra charges? No, the price you pay at checkout is the price delivered to your door. There are no customs fees or extra delivery fees. 

Where do we deliver to?

We deliver nationwide to the UK, the island of Ireland, Austria, Benelux Countries, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland. Please see our delivery rates below:

£9.95 - Austria, Belguim, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Denmark, France, Germany, Switzerland.

How long does delivery take?
Stock permitting we aim to dispatch your goods within 2 - 3 working days of receiving your order. The average time taken from order to delivery is 3 - 5 days in the UK and Ireland, and up to 6 working days for France, Germany and the Benelux countries.

Can I track the parcel myself?
When the order has been dispatched we will provide you with a tracking number for your shipment, you will be able to log on to DPD's or Tuffnell's website and see where your parcel is at any time. You can, of course, contact us at support@quickcrop.com should you require any further information.

What If I'm not in at time of delivery?
You will be notified by text/email beforehand so you will know when to expect delivery. The driver will leave a note with the depot contact number if you are not in. Delivery can be arranged for the next day or a later date. 

I'm ordering several items, do they all arrive at the same time?
All items dispatched at the same time will normally be delivered in one delivery. The exceptions are bulk bags of soil or compost which comes in a separate delivery using a different delivery company.

What if my parcel is damaged or I wish to return the goods I have ordered?
Contact our office on 01788 298 795 and we will arrange collection and refund or replacement of faulty or damaged goods free of charge. We have a 'no quibble' policy on damages and will replace immediately once we receive an emailed photo of the damaged item.

If you wish to return an undamaged item for any reason we do charge a collection fee which may vary depending on the number of parcels, each case is different so please call us to arrange. We promise to keep returns fees fair and as low as possible. To arrange a return please contact us at support@quickcrop.com.

Quickcrop Returns Policy

Great customer service is what we are all about. You will never have to worry about damages, the item not being as expected or simply deciding you don’t want the item and you wish to return it. If you've changed your mind about your purchase, please return it in its original condition with proof of purchase within 35 days of receiving your order and we'll exchange or refund it. If you're only returning some of the items on your order, then we will only refund the cost of those items. We do not cover the cost of returning the item to our warehouse.

Please note that the goods must be returned in the same condition that they left us in so if you have opened your parcel you must ensure it is well enough packed to arrive undamaged.

Damaged Goods Returns
If the parcel is visibly damaged upon delivery, Do Not Sign for the Order. After that just email us on support@quickcrop.com and we will do the rest. Obviously it is not always possible to spot a damage in that moment of delivery so don’t worry. As soon as you open your parcel if the goods are not as they should be just email us a photo of the issue clearly explaining the problem. We will be back to you within the day with a solution. This is normally to arrange a collection at a time that suits you and arrange for a replacement to be sent out. We have very few damages so we act very quickly. Please note the photo is important so we can show the damage to our couriers and be refunded for the delivery cost.

A Simple Return
So you have decided on receipt of the goods that you simply don’t want them. Just email us at support@quickcrop.com explaining that you want to return your goods stating your name and your order number. It is your responsibility to return the goods to us but once they have been received and checked at our end we will issue the refund minus the original delivery charge.

European Returns
Customers outside of the UK and Ireland are covered by the damages Returns policy above. If you want to return your goods due to the fact that you no longer want it you simply email us on quickcrop@gmail.com and let us know. You will then need to return your goods to the following address and once it arrives back to us in the condition it left us we will refund you the cost minus the original delivery charge.
