Please note that due to logistic requirements we are no longer able to provide the brackets pre-fixed onto the corner posts as stated in our video. The corner posts are still supplied with mounting brackets and screws but will require self-assembly.

We started to put this raised bed together when we realized we had a whole packet (16) screws missing!! Very annoying as we live nowhere near a diy store so we then wasted 2 hours doing a 34 mile round trip to find screws. I see the previous reviewer had the same problem. My advice would be to check you have everything don't wait until you're ready to start assembly. We would have given 5 stars finished product looks good.

Brilliant product and service. Delivered on time and placed at the back of house. All components included. It took one and a half hours for me and my sister to put together. Would highly recommend.

Looks well, easy to put together. But missing a pack of screws. 2 of the posts have splits running through them so will have to reinforce them. Putting the metal elbows on the inside (contrary to instructions) gives a better-looking finish.

you are the 3rd supplier i have bought raised beds from over the last few years and i have to say that your Deluxe beds are the best i have bought yet. Both the look and chunkiness are great and i love the finish on them Not bad value either. Well done. Keep up the good work

Does the raised bed need a liner and if so what do you recommend to use

Hi Hugh. You will only need a liner for the beds if you are placing it on a hard surface or have a particularly bad weed problem. We supply lining material for our bed range, please see link: I hope this helps. Andrew

Do you need to hammer this into the ground? Or do you just put together and sit it on the ground?

Hi Emma Just put it together and sit it on the ground. Once the soil is in it there will be no movement in it at all. You would have to take the soil out to move it anywhere Niall Quickcrop

What are the boards treated with, is it a wood treatment, if so which one? Might be good to keep the same treatment going if going to invest in the 10 year beds. Do you sell untreated boards?

Hi Catherine They are treated with a product called Tanalith E (not to be confused with the nastier Tanalith). It is certified by the Soil Association for using when growing food and it adds years to the life of the wood. We don't presently sell untreated boards however we will be doing so in the next few months. Probably untreated Oak to start with. Regards Niall Quickcrop

I shall soon be purchasing some of your deluxe raised beds. Do you recommend treating the outside of the assembled units with fence paint, to prolong the life?

Hi Julie. There is no need to do that as they are pre-treated to last in the weather we get. You can of course paint them if you want from a visual perspective just be careful if you do this to order liners for the beds as you don't want any of the components from the paint to make there way in to the soil. Particularly if you are growing your own food.

Does putting the metal fixings on the inside to 'hide' them rather than outside affect the structural soundness of the beds?

Hi James. Not really as they are fixed in four places so plenty of strength to hold the boards in place over the years. A number of our customers have put them together this way.

i am looking to purchase 2 6' x 6' deluxe beds but am unsure as to depth. I want to grow all types of vegetables, do I need 21" or will 14" be sufficient?

Hi Geoff. In a 14 inch bed the soil will settle to 12 inches and in that depth of soil you can grow any crop you want. Even root crops like Potatoes, Carrots, Parsnips etc. The only reason to go to 21 inches or above is it is slightly easier to work out. That said it takes a lot more soil to fill.

I am starting my first vegetable gardening. I am interested in a 2x Deluxe 21" 6x4 beds. How much soil will it take to fill to maximum depth? 1 tonne for the two beds? I would like to mix with your compost - would I need a bag for each bed?

Hi Julie. Thank you for your question. The 21" beds 6ft x 4ft take a lot of soil to fill and to be honest need 1150 litres of soil to fill each one. That said you only need good growing compost in the top 12" as in this depth of soil you can grow any crop. Each of the tonne bags we supply is 850litres

Hi Ian. The 6ft x 4ft x 14" high bed takes 790 litres of soil to fill it. The 1 tonne bags we sell fit this perfectly.

Would you suggest lining the beds if they are going on to a soil/clay base? I am thinking of using 2 x 6x4 21" deluxe beds. Thank you.

Thank you for your question Robert. You don't need a bottom liner for raised beds that are going on to soil and it is better not to have one. This will help the worms etc come up through your bed and aerate the soil. Also any of our beds over 14" will have deep enough soil for not weeds to come up through.

hi please can you tell me how long you anticipate the premier raised beds will last versus the deluxe raised beds? Do you suggest they are lined if placed on patio? Thank you.

Hi Mrs Scate Both the Premier and the Deluxe beds will last over 10 years, they use the same timber. I would suggest using a piece of mypex liner for the beds if used on a patio as it will prevent soil being washed out through any spaces between the patio and the base of the bed (if the patio isn't completely level). How long does delivery take?
Stock permitting we aim to dispatch your goods within 2 - 3 working days of receiving your order. The average time taken from order to delivery is 4 - 5 days in the UK and Ireland, and up to 6 working days for France, Germany and the Benelux countries.

Can I track the parcel myself?
When the order has been dispatched we will provide you with a tracking number for your shipment, you will be able to log on to the Parcel Force website and see where your parcel is at any time. You can also call the office on 01788 298 795 or email if you need more information.

What If I'm not in at time of delivery?
The driver will leave a note with the depot contact number. Delivery can be arranged for the next day or a later date. The driver will not leave the parcel without a signature however they can leave your parcel with a neighbour if instructed to do so in our notes section at the checkout stage on the website. Alternatively if you are not home after Parcelforce/GLS have attempted delivery on 2 consecutive days they will leave a note to let you know that your parcel has been left at your local Post Office for collection.

I'm ordering several items, do they all arrive at the same time?
All items dispatched at the same time will normally be delivered in one delivery. The exceptions are bulk bags of soil or compost which comes in a separate delivery using a different delivery company.

What if my parcel is damaged or I wish to return the goods I have ordered?
Contact our office on 01788 298 795 and we will arrange collection and refund or replacement of faulty or damaged goods free of charge. We have a 'no quibble' policy on damages and will replace immediately once we receive an emailed photo of the damaged item.

If you wish to return an undamaged item for any reason we do charge a collection fee which may vary depending on the number of parcels, each case is different so please call us to arrange. Quickcrop Returns Policy

Great customer service is what we are all about. You will never have to worry about damages, the item not being as expected or simply deciding you don’t want the item and you wish to return it. If you've changed your mind about your purchase, please return it in its original condition with proof of purchase within 35 days of receiving your order and we'll exchange or refund it. We will also refund the standard delivery charge, provided you return the full order. If you're only returning some of the items on your order, then we will only refund the cost of those items. We do not cover the cost of returning the item to our warehouse.

Please note that the goods must be returned in the same condition that they left us in so if you have opened your parcel you must ensure it is well enough packed to arrive undamaged.

Damaged Goods Returns
If the parcel is visibly damaged upon delivery, Do Not Sign for the Order. After that just email us on and we will do the rest. Obviously it is not always possible to spot a damage in that moment of delivery so don’t worry. As soon as you open your parcel if the goods are not as they should be just email us a photo of the issue clearly explaining the problem. We will be back to you within the day with a solution. This is normally to arrange a collection at a time that suits you and arrange for a replacement to be sent out. We have very few damages so we act very quickly. Please note the photo is important so we can show the damage to our couriers and be refunded for the delivery cost.

A Simple Return
So you have decided on receipt of the goods that you simply don’t want them. Just email us at explaining that you want to return your goods stating your name and your order number. It is your responsibility to return the goods to us but once they have been received and checked at our end we will issue a full refund including your original delivery charge.

European Returns
Customers outside of the UK and Ireland are covered by the damages Returns policy above. If you want to return your goods due to the fact that you no longer want it you simply email us on and let us know. You will then need to return your goods to the following address and once it arrives back to us in the condition it left us we will refund you in full including your original delivery charge.
