Bulk Bag Of Organic Compost - England & Wales Only

In a nutshell....

This Bulk Bag Of Organic Compost is a nurtient packed mix of composted plant material and manure which will improve soil structure and fertility in your garden soil. Bulk bag contains approximately 750 Litres

Our Bulk Bag is approx 750 ltrs.

We are now offering the peat free compost and manure portion of our soil mix on its own as a soil improver. This is a nurtient packed mix of composted plant material and manure which will improve soil structure and fertility in your garden soil.

Vegetables are hungry plants and will soon exhaust your soil if essential nurtients are not replenished.

While every effort is made to remove any foreign bodies from the soil and compost we supply we cannot guarantee it is completely free of small fragments of sharp objects. All our soil and compost must pass thorough a fine screening process down to a 20mm but small unwanted particles can escape this process.

While it is unusual to find small pieces of glass or ceramic with sharp edges this does happen from time to time. We strongly recommend using a good pair of gardening gloves when handling any topsoil or municipal compost and our mix is no exception.

Important Delivery Information - Please Read

Delivery is Kerbside delivery. We do not guarantee the bag can be left within the boundry of your property. If we can't access your driveway the bag will be left at the closest point possible.

The soil is delivered in cubic metre bags placed on a wooden pallet. The soil can only go as close to your site as the hand operated pallet truck allows. The truck is not equipped with a grab so bags cannot be lifted over walls or hedges.

While the delivery driver will do his best to get the bag as close as he can to your property he is unable to move the bag over kerbs, up an incline or on loose gravel surfaces. Remember the bag is a tonne weight and once off the truck is moved by the effort of the driver alone.

If you are unsure about access to your property please call us beforehand to discuss.

For more detailed information on Soil Deliveries please read section 5 in our terms and conditions section here.

Morning Rachel If you have nothing else to mix with this then the tonne bag of Vegetable mix is the better option as it is already mixed to start growing directly in to Slightly cheaper as well Niall Quickcrop

Does your organic bulk bag compost contain lime? I would like to be able to use it around rhododendrons and camellias. Can you supply it in half bulk bag size

Hi Beryl There is no lime in the mix. I am afraid we don't do the bulk bags in half bags. Sorry about this. Niall Quickcrop

I want to put a 6in mulch on the beds in my polytunnel and greenhouses. What area would one of your bulk bags cover at this depth? I have a total area of 31.5m2 in the polytunnel and greenhouses that I want to mulch. Also, what size truck do you use to deliver as access can be a problem. FYI we are in Devon. Thanks

Hi Harriet A 6 inch cover of mulch is quite deep. Normally we would suggest about a 2 inch cover. However if you want to do a 6 inch cover over 31 square metres you will need 6/7 of these tonne bags. The trucks we use for delivery are quite large due to the size of the pallets they are delivering however if you want to get in touch directly using our email quickcrop@gmail.com we can see if we can get a smaller truck for delivery in your area Niall Quickcrop

how much compost will I need to fill 2 6ft x 3ft x 21" raised beds plus 1 4ft x 4ft x 21" bed please?
Answered by Niall

Hi Carole. The 6x3 beds will take 890 litres each to fill and the 4x4 will take 750 litres so roughly 2,500 litres to fill all 3 or 3 x tonne bags of Vegetable mix. That said you don't need the good vegetable mix the whole way to the base just the top 10 inches of soil.

Hi Carole. You will need a full 850 litre bulk bag for each 6x3 and another 800 litres for the 4x4 if you want to fill them right to the top. Remember when filling your raised beds to tamp down the soil gently with a rake as you go otherwise it will seem like you have too much soil. I hope this helps. Andrew

If you've changed your mind about your purchase, please return it in its original condition with proof of purchase within 35 days of receiving your order and we'll exchange or refund it. If you're only returning some of the items on your order, then we will only refund the cost of those items. Damaged Goods Returns
If the parcel is visibly damaged upon delivery, Do Not Sign for the Order. After that just email us on support@quickcrop.com and we will do the rest. Obviously it is not always possible to spot a damage in that moment of delivery so don’t worry. As soon as you open your parcel if the goods are not as they should be just email us a photo of the issue clearly explaining the problem. We will be back to you within the day with a solution. This is normally to arrange a collection at a time that suits you and arrange for a replacement to be sent out. We have very few damages so we act very quickly. Please note the photo is important so we can show the damage to our couriers and be refunded for the delivery cost.
