2 Tier Raised Vegetable Bed with Attached Garden Bench

In a nutshell....

Timber raised bed kit with 2 tiers of 14in and 21in high at 6ft x 4ft wide. This split level raised bed also has a bench seat attached on the side for working from or for relaxing on. Full measurements and specs can be found in the yellow specification tab below.

Raised Vegetable Garden & Garden Bench In One

The Premier 2 Tier raised vegetable bed is a new design and one we're very proud of. It has 2 tiers of different heights for growing a variety of fruit or vegetable crops and has a garden bench attached to the side. This vegetable bed has a 14 inch high section and a tall 21 inch section meaning there is nothing you can't grow in this one. We thought the addition of a nice garden bench would come in handy and make it much easier to tend your raised vegetable garden. It is great for resting on and admiring your garden or for working from, this helps minimise the amount of bending required when it comes to weeding etc. Ideal for the elderly, infirm or those with a bad back.

This raised bed and bench is the perfect mix of raised vegetable bed and garden furniture, and with it's natural timber finish it will easily blend in with or become the centre-piece of any garden, allotment or polytunnel. All the timber used is our thick 35mm timber which is guaranteed rot free for 10 years. This timber is cut and treated to our specification in our our local sawmills. The preservative used is certified by the soil association safe for use with organic food crops. Unlike alot of competing raised bed brands, we have the wood treated after it has been cut to size meaning the ends are treated too and won't rot so easily. Click for more info on raised beds.

Having 2 tiers in a raised garden not only looks great and modern but it also offers more growing possibilities. Why not plant half in a mixture of salad crops and the rest with a mixture of fresh herbs to add flavour and freshness to your meals. The bed is also deep enough to grow potatoes, peas and beans, carrots or parsnips, in fact anything you wish!

The 2 different levels each comprise half of the raised bed, the first level measures 3ft x 3ft x 14in high, and the taller level measures 3ft x 3ft x 21in, the bench runs the entire 6ft length at a comfortable height of 14 inches. Essentially there are two 3 square foot raised gardens seperated by some timber, this allows you to add different composts, soil conditioners or top soil to each section. You can even vary watering methods to suit very different crop types,

Remember Quickcrop are always happy to help you get started with advice on varieties, free videos and fact sheets and can even send you young seedling plants to get you growing with a minimum of fuss.

This bed looks great assembled so can't fault the product quality or the company. The only fall down was arranging to be home to take it in but i suppose i might be partly to blame for this

This is a lovely addition to the garden, not just for growing my potatoes in the high section and salad & beetroot etc in the lower part, it also looks lovely and adds the seat which is such a good idea. Our garden isn't very big but it's nice and neat. Very well made and finished, no splinters.

Very pleased with this raised bed, it's simple and solid and makes a very impressive piece. Well done on timber, I have bought beds before and this is the best I've seen for quality of timber. reasonable delivery too for such a big item. I'll be back!

I ordered 2 beds and thought too much had been delivered as so much timber arrived! There is a lot of good quality wood here, a proper job more than fit for use. Good value and unbelievably cheap delivery for such a large item. Well done Quickcrop I will be ordering from you again.

What I like about it is how solid it is and the quality of the timber. Just a small thing - I bought two and while they do look beautiful in the garden my husband found them a bit difficult to put together. I think you should point out in the description than you should use an electric scredriver as there are a lot of screws needed to assemble this raised bed. I can't fault you on quality and the delivery was very quick and easy! Thanks for the free sweeties too!

Do you pre-drill holes or do you just lash the screws straight in?
Answered by Niall

Hi Sandra. There is no need to predrill holes as the screws will go through the wood very easily with a standard electric screw driver. Regards Niall Quickcrop

Do these beds need to be treated against rot or painted with a preservative?
Answered by Andrew
on November 13th, 2014
Hi Chris All our timber raised beds have been pressure treated against rot and will last for minimum 8-10 years, longer for the Premier and Deluxe ranges. You can paint a decorative finish on if you wish but please use a non toxic, water based paint to ensure no contaminants leech from the paint into your soil. I hope this helps Andrew

If you've changed your mind about your purchase, please return it in its original condition with proof of purchase within 35 days of receiving your order and we'll exchange or refund it. If you're only returning some of the items on your order, then we will only refund the cost of those items. Damaged Goods Returns
If the parcel is visibly damaged upon delivery, Do Not Sign for the Order. After that just email us on support@quickcrop.com and we will do the rest. As soon as you open your parcel if the goods are not as they should be just email us a photo of the issue clearly explaining the problem. We will be back to you within the day with a solution. This is normally to arrange a collection at a time that suits you and arrange for a replacement to be sent out. We have very few damages so we act very quickly. Please note the photo is important so we can show the damage to our couriers and be refunded for the delivery cost.
