Timber Raised Beds For Vegetable Gardening

Allotment timber raised bed kits give you the same growing space as our Deluxe and Premier models. This garden bed is a simpler design and uses smaller internal fixing posts but will still give you 6-8 years of growing. This raised bed planter is ideal for the gardener on a budget but still uses the same treated timber as the more expensive raised beds. Here at Quickcrop, timber raised bed kits are our speciality, we have been successfully supplying amateur and professional gardeners alike all across the UK and Ireland for a number of years now. Raised beds are easier to maintain than a section of garden, the soil can be tailored to suit a particular plant type without changing the entire garden. Click the following for more information and our full range of timber raised beds.

Why do they prefer our raised beds over others?

When we went into the manufacture of raised beds we not only designed them for gardeners at the sizes they preferred but also we sourced our timber so it is treated for long life. We made sure the preservative used was safe for use around food crops and is in fact certified by the Soil Association safe for organic growing. This is important as the use of preservatives in the timber can leach into the soil and be taken in by your crops in dangerous levels (this can be a particular problem with old railway sleepers which are soaked in creasote).

We're vegetable growers ourselves at Quickcrop so understand the particular needs of the vegetable gardener. We have an extensive range of different specifications to suit every garden and every pocket. Take a look at our excellent range - It will be hard to find better quality and value!

These beds are easy to put together, with unwarpped boards and enough screws. I've had mine for a year. They need some attention to the screws on some of the corners simply because of the stress of weathering. The boards are in great shape. The soil in my back garden is not a joy to work with so raised beds are essential. These are a simple, no-fuss solution for a renter. When we leave we'll either leave the beds as is, or pull them up and spread out the dirt.

Was relatively easy to assemble and so far is serving its purpose well. I was impressed with Quickcrop's willingness to adapt the size to fit vegtrug covers, that worked out well. Custom covers to fit the original sized beds would be a good idea though.

This is a very useful product which I am going to use to grow a mix of veg and perennial plants. It is very easy to assemble even for someone as poor at DIY as me!Reasonably priced and very good value delivery price regime. What's not to like?!

Just installed several of these 6x4 beds on my allotment. They look fantastic and everyone is asking me where I got them.....of course I recommended Quickcrop in a flash. Fellow allotmenteers are impressed with their quality, finishing and the soil-friendly preservative. I can't wait to get things growing in mine.

The timber is more roughly sawn than appears in the pictures at time of this review, but it's a solid piece of kit at a great price.

This raised bed is top quality, very solid when screwed together. The classic 9 bed was very easy to assemble and not too heavy to move into place when done. I would definitely recommend these beds especially for that price.

These raised beds are easy to make and definately the right price. I can well believe the 6-8 yrs of growing life as I've had 2 of these classics beds for about 2.5 yrs and they are still in perfect nick. Got another one this summer and have my garlic in it now. Delivery was quick, had it the evening after I placed my order.
